The second installment of the Blackout Mixtape is here. We put it up 10 days ago and between the BarstoolU soundcloud and my own we have already registered 50,000 plays and almost 10,000 downloads. Unreal.

The response has been great and I can’t wait to put out another before the Fall tour kicks off again at the end of the summer.

I am pleased to announce that in its first year of existence I have been asked to play at Dancefestopia – Kansas City’s Summer Dance Festival. I will be playing Friday night June 1st.

Some of the headliners include Wiz Khalifa, Flo Rida, 3oh3!, 2 Live Crew, Dev, New Boyz, and my guys the Jump Smokers.

This weekend in one word was AMAZING.

As if things couldn’t get better than getting to do a Blackout show in my own backyard- Chicago House of Blues, I got asked a month prior to do the Inaugural NBA Fan Jam in Niles, IL Saturday and Sunday.

It wasn’t easy planning out how I was going to go from the Fan Jam festivities during the day to the city to sound check and loan in at House of Blues, do the show, then the after party at Proof, then catch a couple hours of sleep and head back to Niles to close out Fan Jam. Luckily I am surrounded by some of the most amazing people in the world. My two trusted partners Bobby Lite and DJ Bomber did an incredible job sharing the responsibilities of Fan Jam all weekend. And my Blackout Dream Team (Zollo, Gaz, Feitelberg, Devlin, Walsh, & Bob) kicked ass as usual with making sure the show went off flawlessly and we were in and out of the venues like pros.

So to recap I had the honor to DJ an official NBA event that featured stars Kevin Love, Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, Horace Grant, & Nick Anderson, take pics with the Larry O’Brien trophy and then get to perform in front of a sold out crowd in my home town. All in a 48 hour span.

Unreal.

I couldn’t be luckier for how things have gone the past year and I couldn’t have done any of it has it not been for the fact I am surrounded by so many incredible people and friends. I am so blessed.

NBA FAN JAM

This weekend Saturday and SUnday I have the privilege of deejaying and emceeing NBA fan jam in Niles, IL. I am also bringing along my team Bobby Lite and DJ Bomber.

This event goes all weekend and marks the inaugural launch of a partnership between the NBA and Walmart to reward the fans.

Besides two entire days packed full of games, contests, shoot arounds, drills and clinics, there will be an official NBA apparel fashion show, and player appearances.

Scheduled to attend are MVP Kevin Love, Rookie of the Year hopeful Kyrie Irving, Kemba Walker, and former stars Horace Grant and Nick Anderson.

This will hopefully be the first of many successful events Music Trust and I get to be apart of with the NBA!

BLACKOUT TOUR – ROSELAND BALLROOM NYC

We came into New York City fresh off a cancelled show and with news coverage all over the place from the night before in Montclair. In my hotel room in Manhattan I was literally seeing us on 3 different New York City news channels. The NYPD police commissioner Kelly even gave a statement about how ridiculous it was that people were making a big deal out of our parties. It was awesome.

Going into the show we were kind of unsure what to expect but New York City didn’t disappoint. We sold that place out in no time at all and there were scalpers outside selling tickets. Place was slammed wall to wall with thousands of kids and the party was unreal.

We go back in the fall for Foam. Can’t even imagine what we’re in for then!

BLACKOUT TOUR – MONMOUTH

Monmouth was a blur. Can’t really even remember much from this show other than that the doors opened and these kids came rushing in ready to party so we had to start the show a little earlier than we usually do. Awesome crowd. Can’t wait to go back.

It’s Official. BAMBOOZLE Is Happening!

I have had to sit on this for months. If you know me you know its hard for me to keep good news quiet so this was as tough as it gets.

For the 2nd straight year I get to party and DJ at Bamboozle in New Jersey. Last year with Sam Adams. This year me and the Blackout Team will be doing a Foam Party to end all foam parties to close out the entire fest.

That’s Skrillex on Friday, Pauly D on Saturday, and Barstool Blackout Foam on Sunday.

That means after Bon Jovi performs Sunday night, we go on and will be throwing the party of the summer.
