Two weeks ago I got to be apart of a really great event back in Boston. I try to make an effort to do as many charity events as I can every year but this was truly one of the best causes I have had the pleasure of helping out and I want to draw attention to it.
The organization is called “Minds Matter“.
Their primary goal is to take gifted and talented underprivileged high schoolers living in the Boston area and get them the extra attention and tools they need to excel. It is somewhat of a tutoring program combined with mentoring. The real part that stands out about Minds Matter is that the kids are getting to interact on a one on one level with upstanding young professionals that genuinely care about them. The self-confidence it instills in them is worth it alone.
So getting to DJ the event was a big deal to me not only because it was an incredible party with over 450 local socialites in attendance, but also because it helped raise over $65,000 for the organization.
I’d also like to thank the great sponsors and supporters of the event – Ketel One, Grand Ten Distillery, Four Roses Bourbon, B’Good, Kirkland & Ellis, Edwards Wildman and UBER.
